Friday June 4

Selected time

11:00 AM  –  2:00 PM

Each Virtual Passport theme day includes two 45-minute live virtual sessions scheduled at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Registrants also gain access to a virtual classroom space full of digital activities, videos, and articles to further explore the theme throughout the day. Each student will receive a Virtual Passport worksheet, where you can keep track of where you have “traveled” during each session.

Travel across the African continent to hear about the amazing kingdoms that existed there throughout history. See inside an ancient Egyptian tomb, and learn more about hieroglyphs, tomb offerings, and a special passageway between the world of the living and the dead. Get inspired by the Adinkra symbols used by the Asante/Ashanti people, and practice creating your own stamp!

Programs will be held in a webinar format that offers an easy one-click connection to share in your classroom or with your learners joining remotely. Upon registration, we will provide more information about how to connect on this platform which you can share with your Technology team. Reach out to us at education@pennmuseum.org with any questions!
